About Tony
With an affinity for the outdoors, and those who call it home, Tony hopes his photography inspires others to respect and care for the natural world.
Tony is a native Texan who now calls Colorado his home base. His passion for photography began as a teenager, and he still marvels at the possibilities created through different lenses. He earned a bachelor of arts degree after both domestic and international studies.
Tony started with print film early in his photography career, but soon switched to chrome films when he transitioned to nature photography. Fascinated with the rich colors and contrast that these films offered, he spent many years processing his own E-6 films.
With the advent of digital imaging, he began digitizing with dedicated film scanners and post-processing in Photoshop. In 2004, Tony began augmenting his image captures with his first digital SLR, and now 20 years later, works almost exclusively with the latest digital mirrorless cameras and lenses. Tony’s imaging specialties include natural landscapes, wildlife, and adventure travel, and he has a particular passion for our planet’s polar regions.
